Training

Does your team need participation know-how?

If participation is a value, then participatory planning is a discipline that seeks to translate value into a concrete project.

To be able to deliver such a project, one needs a wide range of skills. We are here to teach you how to facilitate meetings, design different types of participatory processes, set up questionnaires and scripts for public meetings, do project management or communication – and much more! At this moment we have over 100 hours of training modules of various levels.

We have many years of experience in teaching the skills needed for participation. The vast majority of what we teach is based on field experience. Don’t expect theorizing and generalities, our goal is to enable you to be an independent professional capable of preparing and handling your participatory projects at the level you need.

Whether you are a politician who needs to get a rough overview of what is possible, what the trends are, and what to look out for, or a civil servant in charge of specific projects who needs to learn particular skills, a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner who wants to develop further and discover new horizons of participatory planning, we will prepare a training tailored to you.

We have trained hundreds of people at various levels internationally. Our training is interactive and practical, offers hands-on simulations of different situations to practice newly acquired skills and knowledge, and relates to the specific projects, agendas, and situations you are dealing with. We tailor each training session to our clients: at the beginning of the collaboration, we map your level and identify specific areas to focus on during the training module. Then, during and at the end of the training, we evaluate whether and how you have progressed in the given knowledge and skills.

Don’t hesitate to reach out in case you have any specific requirements! We are flexible and ready to teach you everything we know!
