Mentoring: round two

Who received five hours of mentoring free of charge?

Throughout May and June, Participation Factory was offering a gratis five-hour mentoring program for any interested parties that plan to get started with participation or already have a participatory project underway. The goal of this program is offering help to those implementing interesting and impactful projects and need advice or have trouble orienting themselves in their current situation. Which applicants ended up receiving our support?

We have two domestic winners. The first one is the advisor for foreigners from the Brno City Municipality’s department of social care, Lenka Šafránková Pavlíčková, who has created and is currently leading the project of intercultural work in administration, which among other things encourages participation of foreigners. The second winner is the leader of the department of culture, historic buildings upkeep, spas and tourism of Karlovarský region, who is currently working on the Policy of culture and creative cultural fields that is set to launch during the remainder of 2021.

Our foreign winner is a Slovakian nonprofit organisation WellGiving, which helps municipalities, communities and individuals that work to revitalize public spaces, wish to beautify their cities and do so respectfully towards nature and aren’t afraid to stand up for public interests. Their other projects are a donation website Ďakujeme.sk (Thankyou.sk) and Z dobrých rúk (From Good Hands), a project that offers things made by people who are at a disadvantage on the job market.

With the closing of one round comes opening of the second. The rules are the same as they were the last time: apply by filling out this survey by September 30th and briefly introduce both yourself and you planned or running project which you need our help with. We will contact you once we close applications to let you know whether you will be receiving the mentoring.

We are looking forward to your applications!
